Ive been eye balling this combo at the local gun shop for awhile. Every time I'd go to the shop Id pick it up look it over and my brother finally said "man just put it on lay-o-way" so I did. A few weeks later which was yesterday I picked it up. Savage-24 S-D. Its a combo rifle top barrel .22LR bottom barrel 20 gauge mod-choke. Picture below is a stock internet photo but its the same rifle. I suppose this is my do-all rifle well do most..

Congrats;
I had one years aro, 22 mag/20 ga and let it get away in a trade.
Sure would like to find another.
New ones around here seem to be .17/ 20, or .17/12ga.
Oh well, I keep looking.............

Nice! May I ask what you had to give for it? A distant cousin of mine has the same gun in 30-30/20 gauge.

I paid $325 for it. I love Lay-o-way!

Guns seem way over priced in my neighborhood. And I live in rural Idaho. Dang. That said, a 30-30/20 ga. sounds great.

Hi Ducki
Does Tristate out on the Moscow-Pullman highway still sell guns? They alway's seem to have good deals back when I was at UofI.

Nice buy and you'll come to love it! Mine is a 22 mag over a 20 ga modified choke. There was another post awhile back on these, one post even had a link to a website devoted to just these guns (well, mainly the Savage anyhow)

Ive looked at this site a number of times any idea where I can get a stock like this one below? Or any idea on what other stocks would fit the Savage-24?
