Took the wife and daughter to see it last night.

A few words that come to mind: Wow. Amazing. Unreal.

Cameron's work over the past ten years to develope the cameras and technology to make the CGI look absolutely REAL, have sure paid off. Even if you're not into the typical "Sci-Fi"-genre of movies, this movie has a timeless lesson of man's best and worst behavior, when it comes to "human nature".

I HIGHLY recommend this movie to ANYone that enjoys a great story, fast-paced action, and absolutely STUNNING visuals. Even though it was two hours and forty-five minutes long, we sat on the edge of our seats the whole time. We plan on going to see it again this weekend, and I've never considered doing that with a movie; ever.

We would like to go see it also-
I heard it cost 500 Mil. to make because of the new technology. I hope Mr. Cameron does well with it.

One question: Is it in 3-D? You know, where you wear those glasses?

(The last Harry Potter film starts that way, and I was not able to enjoy that part, as I have but one eye).

They show it both in 3-D and in regular format, depending on the theater. Some of the larger 12+ theaters show BOTH at the same times.

We saw it in regular format, at our little rural theater, and it was STILL stunning. I don't like the 3-D glasses, either, but this movie DEFINITELY "pushes the envelope" in visual imagery, even without 3-D.

From what I understand it is 3d and glasses are required. I did here something about some people getting motion sickness since it is so real

It is three D however you don't need the glasses. This is what the new technology is all about. However to see it in three D you need to see it in an IMAX theater with the curved screen.
