Her name is Teela and she is one of the sweetest Chows I've ever seen. After 2 months she's housebroken and has already started her job as a fierce protector.

What a Beauty!

I know what you mean about starting to protect early--when my old red chow (going on 14 now) was 2 mos he stood at the screen door growling...and the plumber (who I had called an hour earlier) was frozen in place! To this day he gets upset if someone walks up behind me (sneaking up on me, in his mind). If we have visitors I have to take them by the hand and pull them (gently) into the house to show him they are welcome...then, after he sees me talking agreeably with them for a few minutes, he goes to sleep by my chair. Even with arthritis and cataracts and "prostrate problem" he greets all comers at the door to make sure they won't cause trouble.
