Have two beagles, un-nutered, males, father and son, 5 and 2, respectively. Sez a lot about the problem right there....
Lately the two of them have been getting into some nasty scraps! You might picture beagles as being kinda benign, but trust me, properly motivated, they can be some some nasty little bastards.
It starts as a "challenge" growl from either one. No overt reason like food or whatever, just a "my balls are bigger than yours" kinda thing I guess".
Don't want to neuter, I want to carry on the breedings.
Thoughts? Experiences?

Do you have any females that can "ahem" satisfy their inclinations? My guess is that perhaps they need an outlet.

I had two German Shrthaired Pointer males, father and son , four years apart. They battled a number of times, as the balance began to change and the younger one became the dominant dog, it all calmed down. Best not to leave them alone together, they could run up quite a vet bill besides the damage they could do to each other. I made the mistake of leaving them alone once when the son was just about a year old...poor baby...GSPs are not as nasty as many breeds but ANY two dogs of the same sex WILL fight for dominance if left alone.
I have only female GSPs now and still have trouble even tho all are neutered but one. The biggest issue they have is who will get the most attention from their humans. Probably the same for your boys, try to cater a little more to the dominant one (feed/water/pet/walk him first) the other dog will show him respect too and maybe it will help.
