Well, after my last thread I didn't think I would get the chance to write this: We are going to start homeschooling again:lol:
DH finally got tired of paying tuition to receive mediocre schooling for our daughter. Plus, we've had a plethora of emergency home repairs lately; it really hurts to write that tuition check right now.
I am getting my lesson plan and materials ready. We start February 1st.
Happy camper,

She is in grade 3, but her reading and writing levels are much higher.
I got a little annoyed this week when I found out that the teacher had been using DD as her teaching assistant when she gets busy. I don't mind DD helping other students occasionally, but when she is running from desk to desk helping others instead of learning herself, well it is just too much!
Oh well, it will soon be over.

Same thing happened here. In 6th grade my daughter was the 'extra' teacher in math. When I asked that she be given more challenging work to do (because she was getting straight A's, and was bored) the teacher gave her a poster board project on Pathagarus, marked her 'grammar' wrong, gave her a C. I told the teacher if this stupid thing effected her grade, I was gonna come unglued. Needless to say..we began home schooling in my daughters 7th grade year.
My youngest was going into 4th grade her first year of home schooling!!
Are you going with a 'box type' cir. or are you choosing what you like and going on your own??
Is your daughter excited?

Hey Happy Camper :)
We do want our houses in order, and to know that we are furnishing each family member with the best tools we can give them. As your endeavor comes to fruition, reinforce to your husband what a good man he is to want this goodness for your lil one, so that it's defined and redefined that ya'll want the same things and are not on each side of a coin. Afterall, it's true.. you just each had a different concept of what that goodness translated into. In all things, bind together. God is so gracious!

Thanks guys. Your words are very wise Griz.
Anna is very happy to return to homeschooling. I am just going to continue with the same curriculum she was already using at school, with the additions of art and nature studies. Since the learning process is so much faster at home, we will be taking numerous field trips.
I also want to teach her the skills needed to run a home; repairs, cooking, canning, sewing, etc. ad nauseum.
She won't have all of those dumb time consuming projects that her teacher assigns all the time that have nothing to do with what they are studying.
