After reading of Deberosa's epic journey I thought it might be kind of fun to meet a bunch of "local" homesteaders. So here is what I'm proposing.

We pick a Sat or Sun in August or so, so folks have time to fit it into their schedules. If everybody interested gave me their post office name I can find a geographically central location where we could all get together for an afternoon of BBQ'ing, swapping stories and info, and just get to putting faces with names. It could be a state or township park, or maybe a public boat launch or someplace.

My post office is Williamsport.

Are there any other PA folks who think this might be fun?

Hey, if you end up on the west side of Pa. Mind if some Buckeyes drop over?

Not at all. All comers would be welcomed, no matter what state they are from. As long as they have a homesteader mentality.

But as yo can see, it's not exactly taking off like wildfire.

Yea, Kinda noticed that. Suprising. Maybe wrong time of year/season to be trying to get everyone away from the garden? I'll keep watching.
