Homeschooling in AL?

We are in Germany right now, planning on going back home within the next year. We haven't decided where to move to quite yet. DH has family in GA, but we do not want to be too close to them for various reasons. AL is on our list, but we read the homeschool laws in AL are pretty strict. Does anybody here homeschool their kids and live in AL? We would love to hear from somebody who does. Thanks!

Thanks Laura, that really confirms our decision not to move there. I guess we stick with GA... :)
