Homesteading two homes

I own two homes next to each other, one is my homestead and the other is my guest house. Both lots are back to back no common grounds.

I am filing chapter 11 and my attorney told me I can make both homestead, is this true?

The area is still county (Polk)

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulty. I can only imagine how bad it would be for us to lose our land. For something as important as lossing your property, you'd better solicit better advice than on-line that might only apply to another state. If you need a second opinion, your best option is to contact a second lawyer locally that understands your state law.
