I'm not sure but I think our new government has stimulated the rural real estate market. This weekend I spoke with an agent who happened to mention that there sure are a lot of folks looking for backwoods land. I wonder why? Hmmmmmm

This weekend while doing my country coastin' I noticed a few properties that had been vacant for a while occupied. Brush clearing, framed up little homes, travel trailers.

Didnt know what to make of it.

I fled urban hell about 6 years ago and have never looked back,the farm was in my wifes family so we got it for a song,but I kinda felt this 6 years ago,or was it my anxiety from the social chaos of surbubia?,anyway,it is the best thing I ever did,if you have a secure job,some money saved up and are longing to be free,I highly reccomend it,besides there are some real good deals in the real estate market right now,even in the boonies!!

It's not the hard to see why. There are a few that are waking up to the problems that America is facing now and have started turning to our point of view. All across the board, I see references to greater sales of seeds/canners/guns/up to and including land, all practical things that people need to be self-sufficient. They are finally coming to realize that the government is not going to do a good job of taking care of them in a crisis.

Well, better late than never. Those of us that made the jump 5-10 years ago should be ready to help the newcomers. After all, what goes around comes around. Our neighbors still think of us as the newbies in the area. I've relied on their help more times than I can count.
