I brought home my new registered Nigerian Dwarf Billy Goat last night.. his girls from the farm they were all at let him know they were there and he went right into the crowd and they all had dinner al fresco,, a bale spread on the ground for new comers to feel at home with.. this morning he was giving all the does a run for their money letting them know he was THE MAN!!!! lmao
I have two younger does leaving this weekend so that will make our total goin down from 25 on the premises to 23 then i can get the two younger billys banded and get the scurs removed from the new billy they are about 4 inches long and curved one is almost in his eyeball.. poor thing,, catching him again will be fun tho and i've already got hits for stud service.. will post pics when i can get help holding them all still...

Our kidding season is over stayed up watching our last doe and of course when I took a nap she kidded out. Sad news one was still born other seems ok and huge almost 10 pounds. The kids took it better then I thought, I guess its apositive thing that they learn the cyle of life. Never mind a bit about reproduction and child rearing (they are still bottle feeding our last set of kids just they are going to try to cut out the middle of the night feedings) I was shocked how weel they understood the internal feamle anatomy when I check to make sure there wasnt another kid stuck inside.

have you looked on craig's list in your state and also check out The Goat Spot a forum online,, and ask for breeders in your area,, ya never know... good luck
well the two leaving this weekend got postponed but they are still holding.. may have the buyer take four instead of two,, the hubby's grandmother is in bad shape and they need to stay within distance in case a turn for the worst which is understandable.

I agree on the goat spot forum. They seem to have a large group of ND people over there. They are also very about helping out each other had plenty of reponses to my problem yesterday.
