View Full Version : Dill Pickle Recipe/Howto Please
Please share your favorite recipe with complete how to (including type of cuk, if important) that you actually use for your own small dill pickles. The better half doesn't much like pickles so in the past I've made several attempts myself. They've mostly turned out like short, bland lengths of rope. Mild is ok but I like very crisp dill pickles.
Will appreciate,

It's not a recipe but, heres a link with lots of good info shared last year about pickles. http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/vb/showthread.php?t=15382&highlight=pickle+100+year+recipe I didn't read through this morning but there may be some recipes or links to some.
Hope this helps. I use a store bought mix with some of the hints from this link.

Thanks, Sissy.
Don't know how I missed finding that thread--lots of things I look for would bite me if they were reptilian. That link should give me what I need, especially the tip from Stella (belated thanks to her also). Good stuff from you, too, Lee. Now I just need to be a bit more patient until I get some cuks to put up.
