I know at least of one person that uses this program. Has anyone else used it? & if so what do you think of it? Have xp on one computer running avg. The other one is win 7. Would appreciate any info you could give.
Thanks

I'm running it on my win 7 Dell laptop.
It seems to work as advertised.
No problems so far.
I also run AVG.

I'm running xp and I've used it. I liked it. It runs faster than AVG, which I also use. It found 6 trojan horse fragments that AVG missed.

Now if I can just figure out where it went...

I am running it on my windows 7. After getting that virus Security Tool twice....I had no choice. So far happy. Apparently that particular virus is being aimed right no to the windows 7 according to my computer repair guy. Couldn't get rid of that stupid thing at all.

I have been using it running XP for a couple of years and love it. I'm also using Avira home and super anti spyware in realtime and the malwarebytes picks up everything first. Wish I would have got the paid version of it instead of the SAS and the free version of malwarebytes. Anyway it rocks. Here is a link to a website called major geeks where I found out about it and some really good info that has helped me keep the bad stuff off and run better too.

I have done the cleaning procedure many times and it was well worth it. These guys really have it together and just want to help. Best of all it's free.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks to everyone, I think I'll give it a try. Hubby put it on the puter at work today. It did find a few things. Again thank you very much for info & links.

I have used this program to fix friends comps that were infected. It does a great job picking up stuff other software doesn't. Best part its free :)

I reloaded Malwarebytes from the main site and it came with a free virus that kept closing my windows. I ran it once (it found 6 other viruses), deleted it, then ran AVG. That got rid of it. Dang.

Junie so sorry you had problems with it. I downloaded it from
http://www.malwarebytes.org/ so far it's fine, no problems on my computer. Hubby downloaded it from the same site & it found a few things on his. I also sent the link to my dad. I hope there is nothing lurking in the background.

Sissy, I loaded mine from the same site. Yours is probably fine. I got an error message as soon as mine was loaded - something about one of the components being corrupted. I knew better than to run it, but I did it anyway. It's not the worst thing I've ever done. Heck, it's not even the worst thing I've done this week! I opened a site today that put 61 viruses on my computer. That was fun.

OH!!! MAN!!! Hope you got that taken care of. I won't go to some places because of bad reputations for stuff. Like face book & my space.
So sorry

Oh, yeah, it's all fixed. AVG found them and got rid of them. No problem. At least this time the viruses didn't shut down AVG. I've had that happen twice. Then I get to go through all my files, one by one, and delete the virus IF I can find it. I have something like 300,000 files, so that takes a while.

Bless your heart. I would be lost. Not very computer bright. So have to be extra careful. I feel for you.

I mess mine up so often I had to learn to fix it. I'm fairly careless. I figure it's just a machine. No big deal. Pretty much anything you do to it can be undone.

I just had a nasty virus on my computer. I ran Malwarebytes and it didn't get it at first. I updated and ran it while the computer was in safe mode. Cleaned it good!

God Bless Malwarebytes!

It seems that every time I go to Yahoo for anything I get some kind of virus! I ain't going back!
