For those in the direct path of this storm, please stay safe and know many of us will be praying for everyone's safety and that the Lord calms the storm before it makes landfall.

The local 4 o'clock news has updated the projected path and it is now predicted to go inland at Port Lavaca, just east of Matagorda Bay, which is where it was predicted this morning. The path of this storm is changing incrementally just about every time it is updated. It is also predicted to make a strong 'right' turn (northward movement) after landfall, which means that the general Houston area will receive heavy rain and high wind, although perhaps not (at this time, at least) hurricane force winds.

I am not really worried about hurricane force winds here, just more the effects of being without electricity for a time. Around here, a regular thunderstorm will cause the electric to go out for hours and hours, so I do anticipate loss of electric even if we don't get high winds.

I am going to be canning some of the meat in the freezer, just in case. I need to do it anyway because deer season is coming up and I'll need the freezer space.

Everyone, please keep safe and keep your eyes and ears open as to where this storm is going--it keeps changing it's mind.

You be safe too. We are in the midst of making sure everything is tied down and hoping for the best. Middle son just left Victoria to head for a better place to sit it out..

I am in the Corpus Christi surrounding area. We are right underneath the eye of the predicted path. The weatherman said that it is the most unpredictable storm he has seen in his meteorology career.

The predicted path is changing constantly. I went yesterday to tie down what little i have up at my place in the country. I have opted to stay put. I feel that i have enough provisions at this time.

For those of ya'll in the predicted path, be safe and lets pray that this storm passes quickly and that we remain unharmed.
