Been on a bit of a reading jag here lately, and know I'm not the only science fiction fan here.

World War Z, by Max Brooks, was an entertaining read. It pretty much picks up where Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Nights to remember with the living dead and all the other zombie movies left off. The world is overrun with zombies and civilization teeters on the brink. Excellent writing and plot. What really makes the book entertaining is the survivalist details that go into the novel. This fellow has done quite a job, whether it be by research or imagination, of writing about the things people do to survive in the face of a global cataclysm.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys this genre.

Not big on zombie books myself, but it sounds like a good book.

I'm not sure if it's still there but the audio book was posted on youtube. Read by a full cast. Not bad at all.

I don't read much fiction, but I did read that one. It was fun.

I just checked and it's 8 bucks on half.com and 4 to 6 bucks on ebay. But then shipping nowadays, sheesh. By the way, I'm about to buy Riddles of the Universe by Haeckel for .75, and the shipping's gonna cost me 3.50. oh well.

But yeah, that zombie stuff is kinda fun. I guess the author of WWZ is the son of Mel Brooks if I remember right.
