So much for the next 6 weeks!!

>:( I had surgery yesterday morning. All in all it went very smoothly and I was released in the afternoon. With strict orders to rest and lift nothing heavier than a chair for the next 6 weeks! And no bending over for the next week! I guess that sets back all the stuff I wanted to finish doing over the summer. >:( My 'homesteading' is going to be pretty limited.

I do have some seedlings started, and have a few more packs of seeds I want to start in peat pellets, so that will be something to do, at least.

And to top it all off, my belly button is glued shut! >:(

GD take good care of yourself and dont do things ya shouldnt and prayers that you recover faster and better than predicted. I can relate to what you are dealing with, as I spent all last summer trying to let my back and right arm heal after my work injury and I felt like I wasted the entire summer. It never healed completely but I have managed with the help of the hubby and 2 sons to get a lot of good stuff canned and other projects done this year. Lord willing there will be next year for you to do what you want.

Thanks y'all, I appreciate the kind wishes.

I am already so bored. In pain, but bored. Got a couple of gardening books off the bookshelf to read, try to figure out some vegetable planting companions; peas and carrots, beets and onions, etc. I haven't found out any plant companions yet for pak choi. I am going to treat it as any brassica?

Does anyone know how long surgical glue lasts? My navel is still smiling.
