Has anyone tried those? Do they work? They are guaranteed to NEVER dull. I have my doubts, but I'm curious. I have had my ginsus (Sp) for decades, but they are slowly dying one by one. I broke another one last week when I dropped it off the roof of the chicken house where I was cutting down mulberry branches with it. And they were supposed to be unbreakable.
LOL, nothing is unbreakable - My Grandfather always said about me "That girl can break a ballpen hammer in a sandbox".
As to the knives I have no knowledge about ceramic knives.
That's exactly what's wrong with ceramic knives... They break too easily...

We got 4 of them as a gift when they first came out. They don’t get used for everything but they do get a good amount of use. One did break when it fell off the counter and landed on the polished concrete floor. I would defiantly replace our chiefs and paring knife if they brook.

I bought my wife a cheap one and she loved it right up until she dropped it and it broke.
I'll get her another one next time I go to that store.

Yeah, they're great, just keep the guests away from the diamond steel and the ceramic knives. I have one that needs resharpening from that treatment. They are for cutting only, not prying, not chopping through bone, playing basketball with, cutting only. As long as one can do that they're great. But they will require sharpening eventually. It just takes much longer to get there than with a steel knife. Oh, and the different brands can be very different re sharpness.
BTW, now I keep my ceramic blades away from everyone. Only I use them.
Does anyone know where I can get one sharpened?

Work very well and sharpen on a diamond quite nicely. Will skin a cow and not show any sign of use instead of like the steel it helps to touch up the edge about 2/3 s of the way through.
