I’m at work by 8:45am and I get home at 6:15pm. Needless to say I’m at the office wayyyyy too much. I’m going what I can to keep spirits up and make those monetary steps to being able to afford some land. I read this board everyday and even while at the office I am sometimes online. I don’t post too much because once I’m at home; the last thing I want to do is sit in front of the computer. A small helpful thing I have found is my in my office, I have computer “wallpaper” I post a nice picture every month to remind me why I’m working so many hours.
I call them pictures that inspire. I’d like to share some with y’all and hopefully you too can post some that I could perhaps steal and keep on my computer at work.

It’s hard to let stress bother me when I can look at a picture of a homestead landscape. I’m well aware that my land won’t look anything like these “perfect” “picturesque” homesteads, but these are simply meant to inspire, not imitate.

This one is my favorite:

Thanks for sharing those pictures. And, for sharing your method for keeping your dream in front of you. Can't decide which one is my favorite. I'm torn between the garden picture and the art work.

Wish I could post a pix of my favorite. (Still need to upgrade camera software.) It's a photo, rather than a painting, of a waterfall on a small stream. Appears to be hidden deep in the woods. Off to one side, at the base of the fall, there's a large moss covered rock.

Kept it on my office wall in a time when Bill Gates was dreaming about Windows. When stress got too high, I'd imagine I was sitting on that rock! I can *see* you putting yourself into anyone of those pictures, for a few moments.

Again, thank you for sharing. Looking forward to seeing pix that others will post, too.

I feel for you. I'm usually in the office by 6 and out by 4:30. And I don't have a window! For many years I had a "window" on the back of my office door. I might need to get one of those again! I am, however, surrounded by photos of those I love -- Jim, grandchild, 5 dogs. Picture of elderly dog sleeping peaceful sleep on the chair can take my stress level from 10 to 2 in nothing flat. thanks for sharing.

Very nice! It helps to be able to visualize the dream like that. And your right it makes it easier when you are reminded what you are working so hard for.

"Remember, no matter where you go, there you are."
A greeting card that I framed and have had on my desk
wherever I was at the time.
It seems like I have been everywhere
and never quite wanted to settle down until now.

I did something similar....

I cut out an ad from a realtor, one for what I would have called my "dream home" enlarged it on my computer and hung it up above my computer on the wall.....

What we have now is not quite that house and property, but is close enough.....

You need dreams and goals to keep you going, and the stories from friends who have reached theirs....adding fuel to the fire....
