Thinking of converting a tiller to propane, looks purdy easy has anyone tried this and do ya think it would affect the power much. Like i said looks kinda straight forward and not that hard. http://theepicenter.com/tow102899.html
I'm not sure what the advantage would be? I mean a really meaningful advantage, and YES, it WILL be down on power.
If fuel gets hard to get, i'll just change my gardening style, and go without a tiller, but i don't believe that will happen.
BTW, a couple gallons of diesel would last me for "years" in my little tractor, if all i used it for was tilling my gardens.

Don't have a tiller for my farmall, but i have three tillers and my soil would need at least a tiller. I was thinking a propane tiller would say as get good milage, i would hope anyway. Propane lasts for ever, petro does not. I ended up with a tank of propane 12 years old and rigged a cook stove and a light on it, that thing has lasted for ever. No more than i would use a tiller might get several growing seasons outa a tank. Just in case petro gos through the roof, might pay to have one handy. I do have a bit of propane around.

Don't forget that the price of propane is directly related to the price of oil. If gas gets his propane goes up, too.
