Arkansas homesteading

Anyone out there homestead in Arkansas? That is where I think we (my hubby & I) want to go once we get out out of the rat race. We'd go now except the kids are still in school. Would love to hear from those in Mississippi or Arkansas who are self sufficient etc. We are newbies to all of this. :D

My wife and I are in east central Oklahoma. We're not really that close, but we're closer than a lot of folks, obviously. I'm sure there are some folks that are in the area you are interested in. I'm just not sure how often they frequent the forums, but I have little doubt that they subscribe.
