Layers of Prayers

Please join me in asking the Lord to lead me to a second job. I have no hours the next two weeks.....and though I can get a lot done around the house.......I have HUGE bills. So I need to pick up a second job.
I am needing to work M-Th. and am asking the Lord to lead me to a position that will provide what I need.

I am also asking for 'Spiritual strength, discernment, wisdom and guidance' for my son. He is doing fine (talked to him last night....good to hear his voice).....but was very sad to hear one of his teammates here at home is 'struggling'. For a big strappin' hockey player, he does have a tender heart.
Please ask the Lord to wrap His Lovin' Arms around my son's teammate. Speak to his heart. Draw him near to the Lord.

And for me, that I would "Be still, and KNOW, He is God". I am reading a Proverbs a day. Please ask that He will speak loud and clear to me.

Hey Laura :)

You have alot going on in your life right now. It's hard to see the forest for the trees when it's like that, too. We get so spread out..

Here is what I know. God is a great Door Opener. I have seen times when I had no idea how I could possibly emerge from difficult circumstances intact.. but God opened the doors I needed to be opened and I walked from trouble into peace an happiness. It took my letting go of the problem, tho, and remaining steady in my praise and worship to get there. One of my favorite things I tell God and myself is.. "I do NOT believe what I see (trouble). I believe what I KNOW (God loves me and is Faithful)".

I'll tell you a quick story.. Once, I had X amount of money needed to pay my bills for that week. That same week, I received a letter and a check from my insurance company explaining that they had enjoyed having me as a customer and that they were sorry I was canceling my insurance with them. I did not cancel! :eek: I called them immediately (totally wigged out haha) and was told I could cash the check and return the money soon when I could manage it and they would reinstate my insurance in the mean time. sigh You have got to know that before I made that call I prayed my HEAD off asking God to help me with that. The fact was.. God saw my predicament of the bills needing to be payed and my limited funds in hand. Since all the money is His anyways, I think He jus borrowed some from the Ins. Co. to pay the other bills. When it was time, I easily sent the money back to the ins. co. and that was that. God is so awesome!

As for your son.. He is watching you, his teammate, and God now. There is more going on here than our concern for the teammate.. Do you see it? That means God is working something in ya'lls lives. YAY! So, in our prayers of Praise and Thanksgiving and by giving Glory to God.. we get the clutter out of the way for Him TO work. Well, thas how I see it.

The things you are searching for 'Spiritual strength, discernment, wisdom and guidance' are all lovely things. And God's word tells us to think on things that are lovely. I will continue to pray that your cup is filled and overflows with these things.

Let us agree to pray for the young teammate.. and for your son.. to hunger for the things of God.. and to find their way according to His purpose.

Chin up, Laura. We are given promise after promise of God's faithfulness to us. He never winks nor sleeps. He is observing every thot and step we take. To God be the Glory!
