My realtor friend sends me new listings for Washington that have land. The two he sent today are very interesting so thought I would share. Trouble at this point would be selling mine first... dang.

You are welcome. The first property is my idea of a perfect homestead! I could almost swing that too with a bit of luck in selling my current place, but unfortunately the market is horrible for selling and the costs invovled in getting all of the "stuff" from here to there adds considerable risk to the venture. However someone just looking may be able to get a ready made bargain which is why I posted it.

looks like a perfect place to put a wind generator *:-/
Even some solar pannels. Be a good off grid home, maybe. Kind of out in the open on top of the hill though. I'd have to plant some bushes or trees. "If the kids were already grown"!

And look at the taxes, less than a K a year. WOW! Hard to believe that is in this state.

But look at the additional pictures - that place already has solar panels and a special shed for the generator. It already is off grid!

It sure is on top of a hill - but the view is spectacular! And not a soul in site either! Totally fenced, barn, shop, beautiful home - yep, it's my dream homestead for sure.

Here's another great deal - very tempting! *It even has the high speed internet that I need for my work but the barn is to die for and completely fenced.

If this is still around in summer we may go take a look...

The climate in this area doesn't seem so bad. Averages around 20 degrees for the low in the winter but warms up quickly in the spring and stays warm in the fall longer. The rainfall is about one inch per month spread across the entire year. That's a longer growing season than I have here on the peninsula with the cool and damp.
