We have 40 acres in Alabama with deer and turkey on it. A creek starts on the land and the electric and public water lines are run. It has a septic tank and a spot ready for a mobile home or house to be built. Sounds perfect doesn't it?

Too bad for us my husband works over 100 miles away from it and we had to move. Now we have to sell it and look for something closer to where we live now.

Yes, what a shame. Whish you the best of luck in your move. Just keep looking, you'll find something.

With a piece of land that nice I would really hesitate to part with it if at all possible. The real estate market is down - you won't get as much for it and by the time you find as nice a place you are likely to be priced out of the market.

That's just me but the old bird in the hand is worth two in the bush I think.

It is too far to commute but what about getting a cheap rental for the week and home on weekends. Combine it with maybe a 4 day work week if possible...

You may regret giving up such a nice place, especially with water. Those are very hard to come by any more...

Hi bc. Jobs come and jobs go and tomorrow is an unknown quality at best but that land will be there until Jesus returns for us all. Me, I'd find a way to hang onto that piece of dirt, some how, some way.
