I was wondering if anybody had a favorite book or website for medicinal herbs, that also gave info on making into tinctures or whatever and dosage? I plan on starting a herbal garden just for medicinal herbs. I am really a newbie to it so it needs to be herbs for dummies.. :sarcastic: Please help the unschooled..

My Mom just got me a book I like very much. It's called Backyard Medicine by Julie Bruton-Seal and Matthew Seal. It covers 50 of the more common wild medicinals with lots of pictures and instructions for how to make tinctures, salves, lotions and potions, as well as of course what they're used for.

Thanks yote!! Searched it on Amazon and it's only 11.99, gonna order it. It even has a 5 star rating.. Since it's coming on fall I wanted to plan out the new garden areas, getting them cleaned out and composted up. Around here lots of things will grow better and get a good start if planted in the fall. It is great to have a book on the wild medicinals and maybe I can move some in to the garden.
Thanks for the fast answers..
