My husban has a very difficult prescription which also makes it very expensive... Last time we went to Wal-Mart to try to save a little. One pair of glasses in PLAIN PLASTIC NON-DESIGNER FRAMES $350.00
We searched the internet and found this site.
We had his prescription s o we gave it a try.
1st pair $55 including shipping.
We just could not believe the difference. The $55 glasses were way better.
They would have cost aabout $500 at wal-mart, maybe more.
We immediately ordered another pair, this time with an upgrade, still less than $62 WITH shipping.

I need an eye exam myself, I get the exam and Rx, then order from these guys.
Just click on the menu to the left on the price you want and fill in the prescription info.
And oh yes,
They also arrived sooner than the Wal-Mart glasses.
I have a feeling that the optometrist at wal-Mart just might order from here, would THAT be something.

Yes, I've bought from this site also. They don't have all the overhead
like a B&M store does so they can sell cheap. That said, if you have
an Rx for your eyes that is the least bit touchy this place isn't the place
to shop. Stick with the B&M for personal fine tuning of you touchy Rx.

My husbands prescription ids VERY touchy, and guess what?
He says the optics are better and the FIT is WAY better, his old glasses just couldn't be fixed By them (wal-Mart)anyway so the fit his head right. The ones we got from ZENI fit PERFECTLY right out of the box.
I now suspect the Wal-Mart ones were never made correctly.

Thanks. I've been needing a new pair. Mine are so scratched up I can hardly see through them but didn't want to drop three to four hundred for another pair. I think the pair I have now cost close to four hundred (at wal-mart)and that was four or five years ago.
Now if someone can tell me where I can get a cheap prescription I'll be all set.

That's what Wal-Mart is for... I do believe they are required to GIVE you your prescription when you pay for your exam. *An eye exam there WAS $50.00 a few years ago. They didn't VOLUNTEER the prescription, we had to ask. They will NOT give you your prescription unless you ASK.
And best of ALL, those Wal-Mart EXPENSIVE glasses were falling off my huisband's face every time he bent over almost from day ONE...these glasses from Zeni, noproblems. They are so much BETTER it is amazing. And saving over $300.00 a pair (even with paying for the exam) is a real blessing. AND not only are the optics BETTER, the frames are the expensive "designer" type that would have been an extra $90.00 at Wal-Mart, AND he has those carbon whatever lenses that would have been anopther $150.00 at Wal-Mart.
With the dollar down, the glasses may be more expensive now, but even at $100.00 the glasses my husband got would have been a fantastic bargain, like one fifth the price of the Wal-Mart.

I was just looking at that site the other day, but what I get at my local Dr. Bizer's is a better deal for us. My daughter and I both wear glasses so we go once a year during the 1.00 eye exam special and between that and the 2 pairs of glasses for 99.00 that is always the price we can get two eye exams and two pair of glasses for 101.00 total. Since she is under 18 she gets a protective coating on her lens for free if I wanted that I think it is extra and the glasses come with a 30 replacement if they aren't right for any reason or if you just decide that you don't like the frames. So far we have been really happy with the service there.

That's a good deal, but I'll bet he gets his glasses from Zeni or some place like it. The optometrist at Wal-Mart (where we got the lousy glasses) told me when I asked where they came from, Tennessee, where the only lab is in the US, where they still grind lenses.
If you have COMPLICATED prescriptions OR want premium frames, Zeni is STILL the best buy. My husbands glasses (no exam) run over $300.00 with cheap plastic frames at Wal-Mart, MORE at the opticians.

I got some new glasses in America's Best, they're pretty nice and I'm superbly blind and they were affordable. Two pairs of glasses, test, and eye exam all under 300 bucks.

My husband CANNOT see more tha 5' from his face w/out glasses, no joke. His glasses were $45 for the first pair w/out S&H, and $50 or so for the second pair. When we saw how GOOD the first pair was we immediately ordered more an added tint. These lenses are those polycarbonate, and the frames are titanium, they are premium glasses.
He'll need another eye exam this year, eye exam around $50.00, two pairs of glasses abou $100.00, $150.00 total, and as I said they are BETTER than any others he has ever gotten, even at more than $350.00 a pair. And that price was with CHEAP PLASTIC FRAMES, and the optometrist chargews him $5.00 for a glass case.
NEVER AGAIN.

Opps. Forgot to give a follow up. I got them and I liked them. Have since ordered two more pair. When I need new ones in the future I will get them from zenni.

I ordered a pair of bifocals from zenni for my husband. He laid his brand new $250 pair on the bumper of the jeep and forgot about them. He had them less than 2 weeks. He says the Zenni pair seems to only focus right in front. But that may just be a result of a major rx change.
At any rate, I will be ordering a pair from them next time I get my eyes examined. And even if you do not want to trust them with your lenses, you could buy the frames with plano lenses and take them to your opticians for the real lenses. My insurance will only buy frames every 24 months, and then only up to a certain amount, so it would still be cheaper to get the zenni frames.

Several of my coworkers use Zenni exclusively with no problems.
