I was listening to the Trading Post on a local radio station Friday morning and someone called in to say he had 20+ small styrofoam coolers to give away. I called and told him that I would take them and picked them up after work.
These are the small ones (will hold a 6 pack) that medicine is shipped in. Each one also contained a gel ice pack. I'm giving a few to family and friends but trying to think of other uses for them. He said he gets 2 every month and I can have all in the future.
I think they would be good for starting garden plants in or even as containers for small plants.

Any other ideas?

What an interesting find, including the gel packs.

I would cut small holes in the bottom (using a hot wire rather than a knife) and use as planters.

Could be stacked to be the support for a wooden top for a garden work table. Or perhaps stacked on their sides as a cubbyhole shelving for gardening supplies.

They are great for all sorts of things......you could even put some vent holes in the top and make a mini worm farm.....

The bigger ones are easier to find uses for though.....

The gel packs are reusable up unitl they time they start to leak. Those are awsome for lunch boxes and keeping picnic food cold.

I work for a pharmacy chain and we get them in all the time.

I love the gel packs. I used to get them all the time when I had a flower business and had stuff shipped in boxes. They'd pack the flowers with them to keep them cool.
