I have been using masa harina to make breading for fried food too, and it was neat to read the article. I don't dip the food in anything-just wash it and bread it and it fries very nice.

I also liked the home haircut article-- we did that when the kids were young. I figure between the 4 of them we saved at least a couple hundred per year by purchasing a home hair cut kit for less than $20.

That would add up to maybe a couple thousand over time.
