I got a call from the window contractors today at work. They wanted to know what I was going to do with 400 200lb windows. I said I was going to sell some and put windows in my cabin and build green houses. MISTAKE # ONE they said they could not give them to me now because I would use them in green houses and sell some because they would not get their Government green lead points. I got to thinking , under their time table to pick them up I would have to hire a crew. I turned them down. Please God bring back the good old days without so many tree hugger rules.

Bummer. Who'd a thunk the truth would get you in trouble. ??? Did you ask what the "proper" response would have been, just for curiosity? Recycle?

They did you a huge favor, flat. Yes, I know you saw a chance to aquire
all the glass fof a swell greenhose and $$ to boot. That said, I must tell
in all honesty I was worried about your hale & hardy soul 'cause I know
from experience that plate glass ,OLD plate glass at that, is a disaster
waiting to happen for all but the pros and even they don't like messing
with the darn stuff.

Please don't be offended but I'm glad it turned out as it did for your sake.
I don't want a fella I spar with in the hospital (or worse) all cut up from
trying to go on the cheap. Take care of yourself , flat. ;D ;D

Except that I don't think Flat needs a nannyesque type of watching over. I am sure he is perfectly capable of taking care of his own safety.

Tempered glass will not break into deadly shards. It breaks into small safer pieces. That is why it goes through the tempering process.

It is a real bummer. The glass would have made a lot of good stuff.

You've been here to long and the snarky attitude so common in politics has
worn off on you.

I was just concerned for a fellow BWH member nothing more nor less. 8)
