Hello from Oregon!

My husband and 4 kids (ages 11-18) live in the rainy side of Oregon. My husband pastors our small town church and I have an in-home daycare.
We have been interested in homesteading and self-sufficiency for a long time and have learned things as we could. We just moved onto our 4 acre homestead and have so much more to learn! We're looking forward to being a part of this forum.

curious, which side is the rainy side? Never been to OR, but always thought I'd like too!

The West side of Oregon is wet just like Washington.
The Cascade mountains block the moisture from the ocean and it rains.
The East side of both states is dryer.
I have lived on both sides and the dry side is my preference.
