A church sighting in

My church had a sighting in on Saturday and it was a blast, I had never been to one and I took my Son In Law. SIL shot one of my 270's and had a great time with it. 40-50 men and boys out together.
No women, no booze, no rude people, no cussing and a good time for all. There was a range for rifles, skeet, bows and arrows, and BB GUNS (for the little guys). There was also fishing and canoes.
The church provided lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda. I was so special being with a group of men like that. Guys if your church does something like that go and if not start it.

Sounds like you had a fun day! At my church we often take the youth group out to the gun club for an afternoon. Archery, shotgun/rifle/handgun, lots of fun all around. We had one little guy just suprise everyone, he's just a bit of a thing but was knocking down trap with a 20g. like nobody's business. One of the girls almost went on her butt trying out the 12g. but she was game and came back for more. The kids just love it. I think the men from several area churches had a retreat weekend at a local camp that involved shooting and fishing; not sure if they're planning it for this year again or not.
It's amazing how well fun and fellowship mixes with the smell of gunpowder!
