Gander Mountain is having a sale on the EAA Windicator .357 ($250 through Nov. 3).

Looks like a simple revolver that would make good 'starter' pistols for my daughters.

Does anyone have personal experience with this revolver; or should I just figure that the Germans don't make junk, & buy a couple at this price?

My wife has an EAA Bounty Hunter SA that she likes, solid built, shoots straight and never had a problem, but I'm not really familiar with their double action guns. You might take a look over at the Centerfire Systems (http://www.centerfiresystems.com/manufacturer_handguns.aspx)website if you are looking for a good beginners pistol on the cheap side, bought an Armscor/RIA .45 from them that was a nice deal.

I have a Windicator in 38spl, it is a good solid pistol, goes bang when you pull the trigger. recoil is managed well... I dont much care for the trigger pull, but a new shooter would not mind it, as they would not have a basis to compare it too... The trigger pull has to be pulled to the extreme mechanical limits for the hammer to fall... But with that said, it does pull easy and smooth, just seems to pull forever!
