As I can tell you from experience this is the wrong board to ask about things
tobacco. Recommend that you google the subject to find better info. That's
what I did for my pipe tobacco info.

Has been 21 years ago that I quit.
But, you could try keeping it wrapped in the roll it comes in. Then a cool dry high shelf in the basement.

There are a number of posts on this forum about growing and curing tobacco. Use the search function to find them. Here's some threads I remember:
rolling your own (http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/forum.pl?board=fin-frugal-living;action=display;num=1196294172;start=13#13)
Savin' money (http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/forum.pl?board=fin-frugal-living;action=display;num=1226620552;start=7#7)
July on the homestead (http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/forum.pl?board=sel-homesteading;action=display;num=1215048020;start=4 8#48)
Why worry about storage of store bought when you can grow your own?
Regards,
Pat
