Homemade dish washing detergent

Anybody got good ideas on how to make your own dish washing detergent for hand washing? Thanks in advance, firegirl

Go back to main page & under crafts there is a topic on Candlemaking/Soapmaking There is some good stuff there. I spent a few days there reading past post & found some info there. I also done a google search.
Supplies can be a little hard to find though. I found some octagon soap instead of fels naptha, & Borax at Foodlion. the lye at ace hardware, & the washing soda at the pool supply place.
