Thats right! Go Auburn! I live in Kentucky so my time is UK but I always root for the other SEC teams when they play OOC teams. If you folks ca beat bama you have a legitimate shot at winning the National Championship. Good luck.

Me too Travis! I really don't think their is much to the Cam thing though. We have gotten wind that the FBI will be investigating. Starting questioning Tuesday with the folks that overheard the conversation between Cam's Dad and Mississippi State folks. We'll see then.
Wow, sure would hate for the season to be shattered over something really really stupid.
War Eagle Anyway!!! Shannon

Well after Reggie Bush and USC I'd also hate to see the Heishman get pulled and not givenn to somebody who truely deserved it. We have LaMicheal James and Luck in the Pac 10 both deserve it.

PAC-10 is a weak conference not at all what it used to be. What with USC on probation Oregon better enjoy its 15 minutes of fame.

You really don't want to play Auburn, they will destroy you. Look at the BCS ratings the SEC has what 4 or 5 teams in the top 20.

There are at least 2 other teams in the SEC that would beat Oregon. Alabama and LSU, Florida is having an off year. But look for them to be contending for the National Championship next year.

I'm in KY but I was invited to the Iron Bowl

I had to pass as it was last minute sort of

I think Newton is talented and will move on to the NFL

I think Auburn will be in trouble once the smoke clears but it will be after the season

Some crazy reports out there about the situation....

Its Joker Phillips first year as head coach. UK will be back. I know we will never be a football school. But we can have winning seasons and go to Bowl's
It will be alot of fun! If we beat Tennessee the Gator Bowl awaits.
I don't see Auburn getting in much trouble. The press does the same thing to UK's John Calipari year in and year out.
In the meantime Go War Eagles!!!

Yeah Newton will go pro, thats a given.

Hey Travis, I need to apologize for my last post. I just watched them play. They looked great!! I've watched them before and was not impressed. But, today they looked really good. Auburn and Oregon will be a well matched game. Will be intresting!! Oregon looked like an SEC team tonite. There are 6 or 7 teams in SEC that are darn good. Totally different ballgame from the other confrences. IMO. Shannon War Damn Eagle All!!!!

We are goin!!! I'm so excited. We confirmed our hotel rooms today. Its amazing what is out there now that BAMA is not going! HA! DD and DH just can't wait. South Carolina will be tough. We've beaten them before, but they were hard to beat then. I'm not worried, but just a tad concerned? Maybe thats it. We will do well I'm sure.
War Eagle everyone!! Shannon

Remember that USC will be playing on a neutral field. Atlanta not Columbia. Fill that stadium with screaming fans Auburn fans and send old Steve Spurrier packing back home to Columbia. We handed USC its only loss this season. You can bet the Auburn coaches are watching re-runs of that game.
Go War Eagle! BTW, the odds makers have Auburn winning by 5. I think its going to be more like 14.

No need to apologize. The Ducks have had good games and bad games like every team. The Beavers where an mid rank opponent IMHO but the Ducks where away so that made them a little harder.

Anyway I think this win speaks volumes for our coach and players.

Win or loose I am glad to see the Pac 10 and especially Oregon playing in a National Game. I hope this will open some eyes and bring talent to us. The Pac 10 deserves some respect now.

This game may decide the Heisman as Cam and LaMicheal James are both in the hunt.

As for Cam Newton I gotta say that kid has either skill/talent/luck or all 3. Saw the hail mary at the half that was completed for a TD.

Very well played game. As someone else said Cam is one of those great players.
It was difficult to cheer them on but we wanted the Sugar Bowl for our Razorbacks.

Thanks everyone! We are planning on going to the National Championship game and my daughter is so excited. We all are. Auburn has been through a lot of crap. Everyone hates them and I'm not sure why. I didn't think we would make it to or out of the dome this past weekend. South Carolina fans were just awful. Spitting on you when you walk by, cussing at you. I can't believe we made it home without a fight. I really do not take to being cursed at very well. I held my tongue and smiled. Brightly!!!

Shannon,

We have similar experiences with those South Carolina fans. This past fall I was in Lexington on liberty with my wife visiting old friends and family. And to take in the fall Keeneland meet. After parking the car we head to our seats and I start looking over the horses. And out of nowhere a South Carolina fan dressed in his teams colors yells an obcenity that you rarely hear aboard U.S Navy ships. I looked over to where this vile word came from and to my amazement there they were, the South Carolina entourage. They just had to take their trash talk to horse racing? Go figure. It got so bad at one point security had to explain to these people to please be polite and let the teams on the field decide or they would be escorted in mass outside. Well we handed South Carolina their first and only regular season loss. And guess what Steve Spurrier did not walk out to mid field to shake our coaches hand. Its quite common for various teams fans to take in Keeneland while they are in Lexington, and we never have any problems.

Regards,
Bill

Bill that is very unfortuante that you had to deal with that. And for the coach thats just bad sportsmanship. I guess why I love it here in Oregon. We will rib the other team in a "polite" manner. When its all said and done its a game.

I just do not get the "hard core" fans.

That seemed like standard procedure at Florida, when Spurrier was there. One year, one of them threw a cup of urine on Coach Fulmer's wife. Spurrier has no class, and it's always a pleasure to see him get his due.

Way to go War Eagle! You folks are the National Champions. Enjoy it, plus buy plenty of extra T-Shirts and things. You will wear just one T-Shirt out.

Our friends were over for the game, when a Oregon player was slow getting up one of the announcers said "looks like we have a injured duck on the field"
I started laughing (not at the thought of a Oregon player getting injured) But give me a break "Injured Duck?" LMAO

CONGRATULATIONS AUBURN UNIVERSITY

I live and breathe Okla.football and remember OU going to Oregon for a game. We lost. All of the Oregon ref's including the replay officials were repremanded and many suspended for several games. (2006)
Thats what I remember about Oregon football.
We go to the NCG a lot and haven't won one since 2000,but we get there anyway.
We have only won 7 NCG's since 1950. The mistake Oregan made was not taking their own officials with them.
