Woo Hoo! I can't decide whether to spend or save my up coming tax cut!
The Article Link (http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090212/D96A0AGO0.html)
..."The $500-per-worker credit for lower- and middle-income taxpayers that Obama outlined during his presidential campaign was scaled back to $400 during bargaining by the Democratic-controlled Congress and White House. Couples would receive $800 instead of $1,000. Over two years, that move would pump about $25 billion less into the economy than had been previously planned.

Officials estimated it would mean about $13 a week more in people's paychecks when withholding tables are adjusted in late spring. Critics say that's unlikely to do much to boost consumption..."

Hm. Let's see that's $26 per pay check. Well, gas will cost more the closer we get to summer...that could eat it up, or...when gas goes up, food goes up. There ya go, spent already >:(

Who's got a "paycheck"? I don't. And here in California they just doubled the car license fee, added 12 cents to each gallon of gas, and hiked the Sales Tax to 9-3/4%, which does not include the Los Angeles County tax on top of that and they are planning on increasing theirs. Could easily reach 15% sales tax.

Yup, blood out of a turnip.

Spend it fast. Money wont be worth much before too long as fast as its being printed right now. save gold and hard good like buns & wammo, firewood, stuff with some real value.

I just got a $65 per month raise in my disability check and never even noticed it.

I wish people would quit saying they are printing money at some ridiculous rate without evidence. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has been on the news several times in the past few weeks saying they are not printing currency any faster than they were at this time last year.

The National 'debt' is on the accounting books and not represented by actual printed money in circulation. Tons of money is printed every day, but tons of old money is also removed from circulation too so it stays fairly stable, though I'm sure they adjust that regularly.

See my post in General - I put off buying something as simple as a stove top coffee pot - BAD MOVE. *My coffee pot died today - I would have been much better off and obviously those around me would have been also since they have to put up with my non-caffeen moods if I had just put out the money for a coffee pot.
