I think Craig's list is great, but I use it mostly for finding good deals and free items.

Love it! I've sold a thing or two and have found some really good local deals. I havent had any bad experiences with it. Worse you can be told is "Sorry, its been sold."

I love craigslist, check it everyday or two so i don't miss any good opportunities ;), just beware of scams, saw on the news last week a guy said someone offered him $100 for an item, sent him a check for $1100. The buyer told him to cash the check keep $100 and send the $1000 back. Luckily the guy was smart enough to know something was wrong. Turns out the check was a fake. Trust no one lol

I've heard and seen some pretty bad things happening through Craigs List. There was a beautiful young woman that answered an ad for a babysitter here in MN. The ad was placed by a young man that killed her with one shot to the head when she went to his home to apply for the job, through Craigs List. He placed the ad just for the purpose of finding a woman to shot.

I'm almost afraid to even visit the site.

Crag;'s list is not to blame. That is like pointing a finger at the Classified adds ect. But, like all things, even the day this site was on FOX News....things are not as good when they become popular.

I used craigslist to sell my old Toyota trucks,they were beat to heck and falling apart I listed them for 900$ and had 30 some e mails the first day,sold them to the first looker,he handed me 800 cash and away they went,then I spent 700 of that money on a Ford 4 wd to mount my plow on,I found the truck on craigslist,it is a good site for those that are looking for that good deal,sometimes you find one,sometimes you don't,quite often I also find free fire wood,remove tree or it fell down u cut up,if it's close enuff you can really score.

I have used Craigslist to sell a few things. I was also able to get a few rifles from a guy on there at a good price. As with anything that is free, you get a few people on there that is just annoying. My local list has adds for prostitution :-/. I only communicate with people through email until I feel they are genuine, and then communication moves to phone before I meet them in a public place. I do not allow strangers near my home, that's just common sense.

The only bad thing about craigslist is the spam email you get if you list something. We keep a separate "junk" email acct to use when we list something. My husband sold his van on the list and a truck topper.

CL has been kind of fun I have found two nice fishing boats on it for a great price and sold my old jeep in one day. as with anything you got to what your backside and think about what your doing etc. stay safe and happy bargain hunting. Rick

I just sold a 3/4 ton pickup on it and an old car about a month ago... I have found some good deals, too. Never had a problem.

I have bought and sold on craigslist without a problem.In fact that's how I got one of my treadle sewing machines.

Currently waiting to hear back from a person selling a camera that I would really like to get.

i love it, but be careful about scammers. Lots of people selling cars at too low prices that turn out to be scams. Buyer Beware.
