I'm new on here and missed all the discussion on last years gardens. I ran across some pictures getting ready to delete for Christmas and thought I would show some of my garden pic's and some of the Indian corn we turned into corn bread last week.
This is some of my sweet corn we grew. I think this one is Ambrosia.

This is some of my indian corn. It eventually grew a lot taller than me, and I'm 5 ft 11 inches. I didn't measure, but it was probably close to 8 ft tall. In front, closer to the camera, is water mellon vines.

Here is some harvested indian corn. I had some nicer ears but this is a random selection my daughter got and took pictures of before she shelled and ground it.

Here is some corn bread made from the Indian corn. I had mentioned in another post about how the flecks of red and other colors changed to blue and made the corn bread look like it had blue berries in it. My daughter made this and bent the top over to show the center of the bread as well as some of the top crust.

I have grown Indian corn in the past. At Thanksgiving time we would take three ears and tie a ribbon on it and sell them to buy Christmas for the kids. Thats been about 20 years ago all ready. Time sure flies.
