I just heard about this and wanted to post it for those who may be in the area...

The 3rd Annual Consignment Auction will be held on the grounds of the Plowboy Produce Auction this upcoming Saturday, 10/18, starting at 9:00 a.m. CST at 469 South Brace Rd., Ethridge, Tenn. As most of you know, Ethridge is home to Tennessee's oldest and largest Amish community.

Household items for sale include pressure cookers, wood cook stoves, crocks, and iron kettles. Farm equipment includes harnesses, Oliver 2-row Corn Planter, turning plows, #7 McCormick mower, horse-drawn John Deere single disk plow, metal hen nests, various tools, and horse tack. Among animals and livestock to be sold are pullets, ducks, guineas, rabbits, and several breeds of horses.

Breakfast and lunch will be available on the grounds.

That sounds like a fun way to spend an afternoon. betting the food will be good as well. Let us know if you go and how things sell. I am wondering if the prices will be lower than one would expect.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to go, but would LOVE to!

We will be watching a friend's kids while their mom recovers from surgery. I'll just have to make plans to attend next years auction :-/
