My favorite outlet store is expanding it's food shelves. We get dented cans of veggies for 35c and larger cans of most foods for 50c. Yesterday we got Wassa oat crackers (bread) for 10c each and but 10 and get 10 free. I love these things and snack on them like potato chips. Can't beat 20 for a dollar.

There is a scratch-and-dent store up the road a few miles from me. They tend to have a lot of pure junk, but if you sift through you can often find good deals. I stopped by today on my way home from checking out the deer camp and I bought 2 large Scott brand commercial toilet paper 'wheels' for $5, eggs were 2 doz. for $1 so I got two (hens are slacking right now!) two 18 oz. boxes of Parade brand corn flakes @ .79 cents each, the large sized box of Bisquick for .99 cents, two packages of chopped ham lunchmeat that were 2 for $3. I'm really picky about what I buy--it's ok if the outer box has been smushed as long as the inner package is still intact. None of this stuff is outdated, either. I asked the lady how they got the eggs so cheap and she said it was from a load where several pallets of them were broken so the whole load was rejected. People were carrying out cartons of eggs by the armload.

Last week I stopped by the outlet store and picked up toilet paper for 35c for a 4 roll pack. Not the best quality but I'm on a septic system that likes the thin stuff better. I love good deals.

I wish we had those stores here, I like the one back home in GA.
Here you still pay full price for dented cans.

wow, I thought I did well for 25 cents. we have one nearby that is run by an Amish family. Over the last year their business has grown by leaps and bounds. I see new cars in the parking lot too.
how much do you pay for coffee? I get coffee for $1,75, no matter the brand. You never know what you might find.

We've got one here that I haven't been in in years as it got to where it cost more to buy damaged stuff there than the good stuff at the nearby grocery store. I keep wanting to check it out again but haven't gotten around to it yet. I may do so after reading this thread.

Our bent can store here in OKC just closed after 40 years in business, seems the owner at 82 wanted to retire. Unfortunately, he couldn't find a buyer so he just shut her down. Bummer.

A town not too far from here has a canning factory where you can go and buy cases of vegetables that have dent's in them. Two years ago when hubby was sick and I didn't have time for a garden, we went over there and bought several cases. Most veggies were $6.00 a case, corn was $5.00 a case.
We haven't been there lately, but I imagine that those cases have gone up in price as everything else has.
If I am buying for immediate use, I don't mind dented cans. However, if I'm buying for my storage, I don't want dented. Since I'm usually buying for storage because I'm usually replacing what I've used from storage I avoid dented cans. If I accidentally get one, I use it right away.
