View Full Version : Looking for a great price on canning lids

Hey all you frugal divas and divitos.....is there a source, place or site that any of you know where you can purchase canning lids at a discount. Around here in the stores we are about 2.20 per dozen. I would love to buy some in bulk and have them on hand. A few years ago I belonged to a food co-op and got a bunch at that time, but haven't found any since.

Any help and ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

I purchased 8 dozen of Ball small-mouth canning lids (fancies) at 50 cents per dozen! I found these at the local Wal-Mart on the clearance aisle. I should have purchased all they had, which was about 40 dozen. Hope you find this same kind of deal!

We have a Fred's discount store nearby and they sold Golden Harvest canning lids for $1. They were out on the shelf but had a case in back. It never hurts to ask if you know a place that sells them but the shelf is empty.

I don't have any place that sells them in bulk around here, but I look for sales and when they are on sale, buy all that i can afford.

RNMOM - I just posted some links under Canning that were about $1.08 a dozen in bulk and $.90 a dozen in HUGE bulk.

Hi CarolAnne, thanks for the info. I checked out the website, I can't tell if they are wide mouth or not. That's now what I'm looking for after my son in law brought me 39 dozen from Houston. All he could get were the regular mouth jars.

The local Big Lot just got them in again at $0.99 a pack(regular,not wide mouth though)........I bought 6 packs of them yesterday........gonna buy some more today.
