A friend brought this to our attention. We are buying a package this month to see how the food quality is. For $28 they will provide the following:

(1) 4 lb. IQF Leg Quarters
(1) 24 oz. Beef Back Ribs
(1) 1 lb. 80/20 Lean Ground Beef
(1) 2 lb. Breaded Chicken Tenders
(4) 6 oz. Bone In Pork Chops
(1) 1 lb. Ground Turkey
(1) 18 oz. Stuffed Manicotti (Cheese)
(1) 12 oz. Smoked Sausage
(1) Betty Crocker Seasoned Potatoes
(1) 7 oz. Cheeseburger Dinner
(1) 16 oz. Green Beans
(1) 16 oz. Baby Carrots
(1) 2 lb. Onions
(1) 1 lb. Pinto Beans
(1) 1 lb. Rice
(1) 7 oz. Blueberry Muffin Mix
(1) 10 ct. Home Style Waffles
(1) Dessert Item

If the food quality is adequate, we will be going into October with a decent amount of stuff in the freezer and pantry.

The outfit (never heard of them before) is open to anyone and managed by local churches. This link has a directory of states and will show you if one is available near your home:

This month they are accepting orders on Tuesday, 11 Sep, and Saturday, 15 Sep. Pick-up is Saturday, 29 Sep.

Regards,
Pat

I have and am considering the program but I don't really know if I want and would eat what they offer on their menu's.
Please post here as to whether or not you think it was worth what you paid as that will help me make a decision. Thanks.

I haven't used them myself since they're not overseas, but I've heard alot of praise about them.

The catch is sometimes they run out of the food listed, none of it is guarenteed. The replacement items sometimes aren't very good though.

I heard the way to avoid that is to show up early when they are giving out the items.

I'm an extremely picky eater... but i figure, what I don't want out of it, I can always share with friends that need it more than me anyway.

I've done this a few times, but did not order the December one.I look at what the package is for the month, and if I know I don't need about half of it,I don't order.Up here the cost is $25.00,and then there are bonus deals for $18.00 that you can order.

It seems like an ok deal, and is growing in popularity around here.

I have been a customer of Angel Food for over a year. The most amazing thing is that my family actually eats everything that we get.

The quantities are good and the quality is outstanding. I even got my parents and brothers going in to get the packages for themselves.

I cannot recommend these folks enough. No embarassing questions or forms. Just good people and better food.
