Pretty much every town has a "junk" auction where they sell a lot of garage sale rejects and storage non-payment items.
No antiques or high end furniture, just stuff that no one seems to want. I save a ton of money by buying stuff there. A lot of stuff is box lots and goes for $2-$3. Garden hoses, lots of PVC fittings, canned goods, NIB medical supplies, electronics, etc., etc. I estimate that we save $100/month by doing our shopping there. Try it at least three times. You'll love it.

You are right!!! Not only can you get good buys there, it is a good place to unload your stuff, too. We recently took a horse trailer full of stuff, old appliances, knick knacks, junk, etc. You can't even tell anything is gone from the house :D Anyway, after the auctioneer took his 20%, our part was $500. ;D ;D ;D
Oh happy day.
