Where I work if something is brand new but isn't the right color or is new and has been setting around for awhile it is tossed. So to make a long story longer there were three new drafting tables that were getting tossed. I spoke up for one and got it. After taking off all the whiz bangees and the little rubber bumpers that kept it from laying flat , I got a great fold up dinner table for the cabin. The neat thing that O left was , when you plug it in to 110 there is a little peddle that you can push two different ways and it raises or lowers the table. FREE FREE FREE. When I retire I will have to send the company a thank you letter for furnishing my cabin. The table measures about 5x3

Cool! *I love free stuff and it's amazing what people throw away. It's really neat that it raises and lowers because you can make it a work table or dinner table in the same space!
I have now made room for a free refrigerator from friends and while we are there will pick up more sliding glass doors and bundles of shingles!

Some of my friends think that I'm a french fry short of a happy meal the way I get things for free but one mans junk is another mans treasure. A little fixin and polish or paint and it's a new creature. I have had some of my friends want back what they gave me after I've fixed it or prettied it up a little. I have a plan to make a hand made bango/guitar out of a large wooden salad bowl and the neck of an old guitar , it's still in the drawing stage though.

As a draftsman, I'm quite upset that you would even ponder using that tool in such a fashion! ;)

Same here!
I'd love to have a powered table, although I haven't used a board in years.
I prefer 3-D cad these days.
