We laughingly refer to my dishwasher as a poorman's laundry, and it works great. Clothes dry in a jiffy. Running one machine is less than two, and we keep a collapsible drying rack out on the porch.

I have never heard of that; pretty cool idea. But I can't try it cuz I am cheap and didn't want a dishwasher.

I don't have a dishwasher either......but I set my washer to only rinse once,and then hang the laundry on a homemade rack the hangs from the ceiling in our spare room......

I have no dishwasher either, so, would it work to put my dirty dishes in the washing machine with the laundry? ;D
