Today I was in the local Dollar General store and found some very good deals on cold weather clothing. Found ladies thermal underwear at $1.00 each piece, so I bought two tops and bottoms. Also had heavy pull over sweatshirts for $1.00 each, so I bought five gray ones and three dark blue ones. Also found some kind of cotton/synthetic blend long sleeve t -shirts for $1.00 so I bought a couple of those to wear under regular cotton shirts. So for $14 dollars plus whatever the tax was, I got enough sweatshirts and thermals to last me at least a few years, if not longer. I'll save back a few of the sweatshirts for when I wear out or ruin the ones I bought. Always good to save things back for the future. (They also had the sweat pants that went with the sweatshirts, but I don't like the pants so I didn't buy any.
I have to go into town to run a few errands tomorrow and I might check the other Dollar General there just to see what they have.
My mother in Houston found some fairly nice flannel pajama sets for adults there last week that were marked down to $2 a set (top and bottom both). She bought several sets for Christmas gifts and like me, to save some back for later.
If you have a Dollar General, it might be worth checking to see what they have.
