We have been known to give toilet plungers and cleaners in a basket. Or a hammer and arolling pin - just to keep things even.

How about:

A copy of your favorite recipes put in a book?
A clearance picture frame.
A hand crafted saying framed for the wall? You can frame with fabric like a quilt or wall hanging.

Some jars of home canned produce
A new fruit tree or berry bush for the yard. A rose bush.
Family pictures put into an album
Some hand made thank you cards for the other gifts.
Scented bag to put in drawers.
Hand embroider towels

A loaf of bread each week for a month?
Frame the wedding announcement and picture for them

A large setof plastic resealable containers for food

A family story and momento representing it.

Wall sayings (you know, removeable stickers for walls "Live, Learn, Love" or whatever you want. Some are not that expensive. I bought 3 for $27 from a place in Idaho. I got to choose what they said.

good luck

Go to a dollar store and fill a laundry basket with sandwich bags, saran wrap, reynolds wrap, scrub brushes, etc....

If they haven't been already living together, that's stuff they'll need...
