I just happend on the best deal yesterday......
My friend an I went to the big city of Bangor yesterday to go thrift shopping. One store that is a thrift for a food bank was relocating to another part of town so they had a BIG THIN!

Clothes were $10 a garbage bag full and everything else books, brick brack, furniture and right to large appliances was FREE! Rather than moving it they just gave it away!!

Wow, I wound up with so much good stuff from a vintage suitcase to kids books, a lampshade and my best find was a backpack so I can pack my grandson on my back and go find more good bargins.... ;D

I can't top that. That's pretty good. When i lived in the big cesspool known as Philadelphia as a 20-something, my roommate and i would go 'trash picking' quite often. We knew the nights that different neighborhoods put their trash out so we'd hit a couple of nearby neighborhoods pretty often. We got everything from furniture, to clothes, to knick nacks, wall art. One time we found a box of probably 50 or more 78 rpm jazz records from the 1930s.
