My friend who runs the restaraunt I frequent the most gave me a gift bag this morning. Since it was kinda heavy I took it home and checked it out. I got 3 large (6oz) cans of solid white albacore tuna, on small can, 3 cans of Armour Star potted meat, I love it, a can of chili, a 17oz can of mixed nuts (including Macadamia nuts) 3 packs of fruit and cream instant oatmeal, 4 packs of hot cocoa, a small pack of crackers, a can of Coke, a can of Lipton tea, and some candy. I've put everything away so I'll have it if I need it! Oh yes, she also gave me two gift certificates to the restaraunt which I'll save till late next month when I'm broke.

Passed on most of the nuts to my DD and family, a little too salty for me but delicious. I've still got some in a snack baggie in my jacket pocket. Gave here most of the mini Tootsie Roll Pops for the two older girls, 13 mo. old doesn't get it as it's a choking hazard. Also gave them the 8 pack of Reece's Peanut Butter cups, for some reason those always taste funny to me.
DD and her family gave me a 2lb. tub of sharp cheddar cheese food/spread so I'll be picking up some crackers when I buy groceries at the end of the month.
Used one of the gift certificates today. A $5 gift certificate is enough for me to get one 99 cent taco, a tea refill, and the paper this morning. I then used $2.78 of what was left for lunch, netting myself a fried chicken breast, fries, gravy, rye bread, pickled onions, and another tea refill. If I hadn't bought the paper I would have had enough for a third tea refill as they're on 50c each. Can't beat the food or those prices.
A Great friend indeed !!
