How many of you buy the Sunday paper to get the coupon supplements that are usually in it? I subscribed again and they started throwing it yesterday. Today's paper had 5 coupon supplement sections and I found a few that I may use if I can find out which store carries the items, soups and the like that I've tried and really like. I'll take my left-overs and trade them for a tea refill at one of my favorite places in downtown. The manager's really good about that trade off and I'm sure she gets more than 50 cents worth of coupons in exchange for that mug of tea.

Many grocery stores also have a coupon table/bin. I'm happy to clip coupons on Sunday and take what I don't use and add it to the mix, and take from the table what I do use. Since our sales ads come out on Wednesday, I like to get to the store early so that I can find coupons for price leaders so that I can save even more money.
There's really not all that many coupons that I use because they are mostly for highly-processed foods. I do keep toothpaste/toothbrush coupons, as well as some laundry items and occasionally TP. I also use some for frozen fruit/veggies and frozen concentrated 100% juice.

MYR............oddly,since our last conversation about coupons..........there haven't been any cat food ones........... ??? There was one this week........but only for a free trial sized bag.
I do buy the paper on sundays, but I also get to take the coupons from any unsold papers at the end of the day at work.........it helps.
I have my routine down.........on Sundays I go to my parents......Mom has already clipped the ones she wanted,I get the rest.......if the coupons are really good,I'll buy myself a paper(sometimes more than one),then at work I hope and keep my fingers crossed that there's one or two left unsold at the end of the day......
I have found that the coupons are directly related to what one particular store has on sale that week........then the following week another store will have similar items on sale......keep that in mind when you shop,it helps keep the grocery bill a little lower....
NEVER,EVER,clip a coupon for something that you don't normally buy, unless it's a free item.......if you do,in the end you may end up spending MORE than you normally would have.
When I'm all done with mine,I send the rest off to a friend who then goes through them, and again what's left gets passed along........
Happy couponing!
