3 Ways To Save:
1. Buy it cheap.
2. Make it last longer.
3. Use it less.
Your examples please....
-Buying it cheap for me means keeping a price book so that I know where I get the lowest price for things. I also have a set amount for groceries - PERIOD.
-Nothing aids things lasting longer than good maintance. That goes for your clothes, shoes, tools, appliances, home and vehicles. The old adage, "a stitch in time saves nine" still works. Yes, I patch, mend, and will even darn socks. ;) Because of good maintainance, I wear a pair of winter boots that are 31 years old. A person doesn't need dozens of pairs of shoes, they need shoe polish and a brush.
-Reduce the amount you use your vehicle. Combine errands and try to extend the times you grocery shop from once or twice a week, to once or twice a month. Dust off the bike or walk. Gone are Sunday drives....
