Interesting turn of events.

I will be graduating with my RN this spring. Many of us have been interviewing for jobs and most of us have a position lined up. The thing is about 85% of my class only got part time offers...as things open up the positions will shift to full time...about a year is what we are hearing.

Never thought RN's would have just part time work...a big issue is the amount of people that can not pay for thier hospital stay in this economy.

I just looked at our intranet site and we have 9 openings for RN.
None of them are FT and 4 are per diem positions.
Several are for 12 hour shifts at 72 hours per pay day so that's close to full time and I think it would include full benefits.
It's a 24 bed hospital in Central Washington.
I hadn't noticed they weren't full time positions.
That's interesting.
FYI I'm not a nurse.
